Azerbaijan’s exports to Luxembourg surge 338.9-fold – GRAPH

In January–July this year, Azerbaijan’s goods exports to the EU member states of Luxembourg, Spain, and Malta increased sharply, the State Customs Committee (SCC) reported.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan’s goods exports to Luxembourg surged 338.9-fold year-on-year, increasing by $20.19 million to $20.25 million. Exports to Spain rose fivefold year-on-year, or by $24.28 million, reaching $30.35 million. Meanwhile, Azerbaijan’s exports to Malta totaled $13.84 million, up 3.7-fold, or $10.13 million, compared with the same period last year.
Azerbaijan’s total trade turnover with Luxembourg, Spain, and Malta stood at $130.45 million during the reporting period, representing a 14.7% year-on-year decline, or a decrease of $22.46 million.
In the first seven months of the year, Azerbaijan’s exports to Luxembourg, Spain, and Malta totaled $64.44 million, up 6.6-fold, or $54.60 million, compared with the same period last year. Meanwhile, Azerbaijan imported $66.02 million worth of goods from these three countries, down 2.2-fold, or $77.07 million, year-on-year.
According to the report, these figures accounted for 0.33% of Azerbaijan’s total exports and 0.67% of its total imports.
