Azerbaijan’s Ganja, China’s Qingdao enhance cooperation

A delegation of Azerbaijan, led by Niyazi Bayramov, Head of the Ganja City Executive Authority, visited Qingdao, China, on April 20.
During the visit, the Azerbaijani delegation met with Geng Tao, Deputy Mayor of Qingdao.
The officials highlighted the recent development of the Azerbaijan-China relations across all domains, thanks to the political course pursued by both countries’ leaders. They underscored that the establishment of comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries had opened a new chapter in bilateral relations.
According to Geng Tao, this is the first official visit of the Azerbaijani delegation following the signing of the cooperation agreement between Ganja and Qingdao, on the margins of the People's Diplomacy Forum and Twin Cities Forum organized by the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Qingdao, in 2023.
Tao highlighted Ganja’s rich cultural and literary heritage, underscoring great potential for cooperation in economic, trade, cultural, humanitarian, and tourism areas between the two cities.
Niyazi Bayramov underlined the importance of advancing economic, trade, and cultural cooperation with Qingdao. He also noted that Ganja city enjoys collaboration with different sister cities around the world. He invited the Qingdao city leadership to visit Ganja.
Subsequently, the Azerbaijani delegation visited the headquarters of China’s famous Hisense Company.
