AZERBAIJAN’S PARLIAMENT SPEAKER MEETS CHAIRMAN OF TURKISH SUPREME COURT
Speaker of Azerbaijan’s Parliament Ogtay Asadov met Wednesday the Chairman of the Turkish Supreme Court Osman Arslan.
Mr. Asadov said Azerbaijan attaches great importance to development of cooperation with fraternal Turkey, adding that meetings and mutual visits of presidents of the two countries gave a new impulse to further expansion of relations.
He reminded President Ilham Aliyev`s expression “it is difficult to find other two countries that have such high level of relations as Turkey and Azerbaijan have.”
Speaker of Parliament went on to say that various structures of the two fraternal countries are closely cooperating.
We highly estimate a memorandum signed between Supreme Courts of Turkey and Azerbaijan within your visit, Mr. Asadov underscored. The Speaker added that Constitution Courts of the two countries had signed a memorandum, too.
We consider that mutual visits and documents are of great importance for cooperation, and for exchanges of experience and information, and will contribute to promotion of our ties, the Speaker said.
Mr. Asadov spoke about the role of inter-parliamentary relationships, noting that parliament members of fraternal countries have very close cooperation at international organizations.
Mr. Arslan, for his turn, expressed satisfaction with his meetings in Azerbaijan, and all-rounded development of the country.
Chairman of the Turkish Supreme Court said the fraternity is everlasting between the two countries which have the same national, religious and historical roots.
Mr. Asadov and Mr. Arslan also exchanged views on various issues of mutual interests.
Head of Parliament Apparatus Safa Mirzeyev and Turkish ambassador to Azerbaijan Hussein Avni Garslyoglu attended the meeting.
