‘Azerbaijan`s richness is in its ethnic and religious diversity’
Vannes, May 4 (AZERTAC). Richness of Azerbaijan is not only in its natural resources, but also in ethnic and religious diversity, said Azerbaijani ambassador to France Elchin Amirbayov in his interview to the French newspaper “Ouest France”.
The French media broadly highlighted the ambassador`s interview on Azerbaijan.
The interview, titled “Azerbaijani ambassador popularizes his country”, covers rapid development of Azerbaijan, which is located on the coast of the Caspian Sea and borders with Russia, Georgia, Turkey and Iran.
The ambassador says the Heydar Aliyev Foundation organized exhibitions and concerts in various regions of France to promote the country`s cultural values and legacy. “Located between the East and the West, Azerbaijan is famous worldwide not only for its natural resources, but also ethnic diversity and tolerance,” the diplomat noted.
Speaking of tourism opportunities of Azerbaijan, Amirbayov notes the country has very favorable conditions for foreign investors.
In his interview to the newspaper “Le Telegramme”, the diplomat said that under the “Cultural Treasures of Azerbaijan - the Pearl of Caucasus” project initiated by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation more than 12 cities of France, including Vannes, hosted exhibitions and concerts on Azerbaijan.
Amirbayov says that Azerbaijan`s history is very ancient and the country enjoys huge tourism potential.
“Azerbaijan has hosted a variety of international cultural events in last ten years. Azerbaijan and France boost cultural relations, cities of the two countries will sign documents to become sister cities next year. Ganja will host the second wine festival and wine-making regions of France will be invited to the event,” the ambassador notes.
