AZERI FM MEETS US UNDER SECRETARY OF STATE

Azerbaijan`s Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov met Tuesday with US Department of State Under Secretary for Economic, Energy and Agricultural Affairs Rueben Jeffery.

Jeffrey highly appreciated the boosting bilateral relations between the two states, and said his country is supporting Azerbaijan`s economic successes and institutional reforms.

Mammadyarov stressed the United States` role in implementation of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil project.

Other issues the conversation circled around were diversification of Azerbaijan`s economy, development of the country`s non-oil sector and improvement of its investment environment.
