AZERI PRIME MINISTER MEETS IRAN’S PARLIAMENT DELEGATION
Azerbaijani Prime Minister Artur Rasizadeh met Friday with the parliament delegation of Iran headed by Chairman of Iran’s Majlis (Parliament) Gholam Ali Haddad-Adel.
Mr. Rasizadeh said Azerbaijan and Iran have high level relations, noting that meetings and reciprocal visits of presidents of the two countries have played key role in this process.
He noted that the increase in goods turnover between the two countries year after year is a result of successful development of economic cooperation.
Azerbaijani Prime Minister highly appreciated energy cooperation, as well as Iran’s support to Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
Mr. Rasizadeh briefed the members of Iranian delegation on global transport and energy projects initiated by Azerbaijan, as well as on efforts by the leadership of the country for peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
Chairman of Iran’s Majlis, for his turn, said his country is keen on boosting of relationship with Azerbaijan in all spheres.
Speaking about the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Gholam Ali Haddad-Adel stressed that Iran recognizes Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity and hopes peaceful resolution of the conflict.
