FM of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov met on Friday with the Deputy FM of the Russian Federation Grigori Karasin, the Ministry’s press service reported.

In meeting, discussed were the questions on the agenda of UN coming session, as well as the parties exchanged views on next summit of the Caspian coastal countries.

Mr. Mammadyarov stressed the possibility of settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict only in the frame of Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity. Establishment of peace and tranquility in region is important for the entire world, Azeri FM said.

Parties also reached a plan of consultations between the two Ministries for the second half of current year and 2008.

This plan envisages co-op between Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy and the Moscow International Relations Institute (MGIMO) and Russian Diplomatic Academy.
