BAKU HOSTS IAACA EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING
Over 30 representatives from 15 countries including employees of prosecutor`s offices of China, Indonesia, Ukraine, Northern Ireland and Uganda as well as heads of anti-corruption authorities of Pakistan and India have gathered today in Baku for the Executive Committee meeting of the International Association of Anti-Corruption Authorities (IAACA).
The meeting began with opening remarks of Justice Minister of Azerbaijan, IAACA vice-president Fikret Mammadov.
The participants observed a minute of silence to commemorate Azerbaijanis Genocide victims.
The meeting elected IAACA new members and discussed the mechanism of future events.
Executive Committee members visited the Justice Ministry to discuss outlook for legal cooperation.
The visitors became familiar with the Heydar Aliyev Museum and Justice Museum created at the Ministry, and the special exposition dedicated to genocide victims. They were given a magazine narrating on President Ilham Aliyev-led reforms and Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Meeting participants met with employees of the anti-corruption department under the general prosecutor`s office.
