BAKU HOSTS MEETING OF TURKISH BUSINESSMEN TRADE UNIONS
A 2-day meeting of the heads of Turkish businessmen branch trade unions is underway in Baku.
Head of the socio-political department of President Office Ali Hasanov, Chairman of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (ATUC), MP Sattar Mehbaliyev and heads of branch trade unions also attended the meeting.
Opening the meeting was Salih Kilij, president of the Turkish businessmen trade unions, who stated that they were pleased with working in Azerbaijan, historically common with Turkey in language, religion and culture. The goal in organizing the meeting in Baku is to have exchange of mutual experience with the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation, make joint efforts to resolve the problems, he said.
Saleh Kilij especially stressed the role of the nationwide leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev in strengthening of brotherly and friendly relations between the two nations. He expressed delight with the latest accomplishments Azerbaijan gained in economic development.
At his words, the meeting will discuss protection of the rights of laborers, the prospects of cooperation of relevant structures of both countries in this field.
Addressing the meeting, ATUC chairman Sattar Mehbaliyev highly assessed the organizing of meeting in Baku. He expressed satisfaction with cooperation with the Turkish trade unions to benefit its 55-year experience. He informed on the activity of the branch trade unions in the country.
The Turkish trade unions are one of the largest world trade union organizations, representative of President Office Mr. Ali Hasanov emphasized. These trade union organizations are well known beyond Turkey and it is of great importance in globalizing world.
As stated, besides their meeting, the Turkish businessmen will familiarize with the sights of Azerbaijani capital and meet Azeri officials.
