Baku hosts round table on dialogue among nations
Baku, May 21 (AZERTAC). Embassies of Germany and the U.S. in Azerbaijan have co-organized a round table on dialogue among nations in Baku.
The event brought together staffers of the embassies, experts and journalists.
German Embassy in Azerbaijan was awarded with “Embassy 2012” for cooperation with Azerbaijani civil society, popularization of public values and contribution to internations dialogue last year.
The award was presented to deputy Head of Mission of German Embassy to Azerbaijan Wolfgang Mössinger.
Mr. Mössinger thanked for the award, noting Azerbaijan, which regained its independence almost 20 years ago, had achieved big progress.
He said the award would encourage the embassy to boost cooperation with all layers the Azerbaijani society, including the government, the parliament and journalists.
The event featured speeches by head of Political, Economic, Press and Information Department of EU Delegation to Azerbaijan Toralf Pilz, the Public Affairs Officer (PAO) at the US Embassy in Azerbaijan Victoria Sloan, Deputy Chairman of Azerbaijan Youth Euro-Integration Organization Nargiz Eyvazova.
The speakers hailed Azerbaijan`s contribution to building cultural dialogue among nations.
