Baku Military College and Faculty of Military Medicine hold graduation ceremony

A graduation ceremony was held for the graduates of Baku Military College under the National Defense University, and the Faculty of Military Medicine of the Azerbaijan Medical University majoring in the “Military Paramedic Work” program, the Ministry of Defense told AZERTAC.
The ceremony commenced with visits to the monument of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, and to the Memorial Complex dedicated to the college’s servicemen who were martyred during the Patriotic War. Flowers were laid, and their memory was honored with profound respect.
The ceremony was attended by the leadership of the National Defense University, officers, faculty members, cadets, and invited guests. During the event, the Battle Flag of the Baku Military College was ceremonially brought onto the parade ground.
Subsequently, the memory of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the Motherland was commemorated with a minute of silence, and the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.
In his address, the Rector of the National Defense University, Major General Gunduz Abdulov, congratulated the graduates on behalf of the leadership of the Ministry of Defense. Emphasizing that the Azerbaijan Army is the most powerful and modern armed force in the region, the Rector noted that preserving and further strengthening this capability remains one of the foremost priorities of army development.
Major General Gunduz Abdulov emphasized that the victory achieved in the Patriotic War was attributable to the agility of small units capable of operating independently and to the professionalism of their commanding officers.
In this context, he underscored that the establishment of military colleges in Baku, Ganja, and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic—pursuant to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Ilham Aliyev, dated December 14, 2023—constitutes a historic strategic initiative designed to advance significant objectives.
Speaking on behalf of the graduates, the top achievers expressed their sincere gratitude to the leadership of the republic, the Ministry of Defense, the National Defense University, and the faculty members for the conditions and support provided throughout their education.
In accordance with the graduation ceremony program, diplomas, certificates, and certificates of merit were presented to the graduates, as well as to faculty members who had demonstrated outstanding achievements in their teaching activities.
Following the affixing of a commemorative graduation emblem to the symbolic stump, a ceremonial handover and acceptance of the Battle Flag of the Baku Military College was conducted.
The ceremony continued with the cadets performing the Military College march, accompanied by a military orchestra.
In conclusion, the personnel solemnly marched in front of the grandstand.
