BAKU TO HOST ICYF-DC INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE
International conference initiated by the Islamic Conference Youth Forum for Dialogue and Cooperation (ICYF-DC) will take place in Baku from October 28 to November 3 with the support of Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO and ISESCO Goodwill Ambassador Mehriban Aliyeva; Chairperson of the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser al-Missned; United Nations High Representative for the Alliance of Civilizations Jorge Sampaio; ISESCO Director General Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri and other top-ranking guests are expected to make speeches during the first day of the conference.
A group comprising of 45 young leaders from the westerns countries and East Asia nations, as well as world-known scientists of the Organization of Islamic Conference will deliver reports about history and interrelation of the different civilizations, their political and socio-cultural aspects.
At the close of conference, participants will adopt the Baku declaration titled “Alliance among generations”. Official document will be submitted to the annual forum “Global alliance”, which is scheduled to be held in Madrid, Spain, in January 2008 under the UN’s aegis.
