Bishkek newspaper publishes interview with Azerbaijani ambassador
Bishkek, April 19 (AZERTAC). Bishkek-based newspaper “Turkel” has published an interview with Azerbaijani ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Hidayat Orujov.
In the interview, the ambassador praises the Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan relations, saying they have been intensifying in the year and a half.
“The presidents of the two countries have met several times at different events during this period. Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev`s official visit to Azerbaijan and his meeting with Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev was very fruitful. The documents signed during the visit gave a push to development of the cooperation between the two states,” the ambassador notes.
Orujov also touches upon the first meeting of the Azerbaijan-Kyrgyzstan Intergovernmental Cooperation Commission, which was held last year in Bishkek: “The meeting marked the founding of a working group to prepare concrete proposals on construction of an oil production plant in Kyrgyzstan.”
The ambassador says Baku will host the second meeting of the joint commission this year.
Orujov also provides an insight into causes and consequences of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
