Book by Azerbaijan writer published in UK
Baku, May 13, AZERTAC
A book “My mother`s Tales” by Azerbaijan writer, professor Aziza Jafarzade has been published in London, UK.
Edited by Betty Blair and Michael Brannock, the book was translated into English by Sevinj Maharramova, Gulnar Aydamirova, and Vafa Ibrahimova.
One of the leading experts on Azerbaijani traditional culture, prominent Baku writer and historian Aziza Jafarzade, has the distinction of being the only person to be awarded both the title of "Mother of Azerbaijan" and also "People's Writer".
Jafarzade worked as the chair of Baku State University's folklore faculty, and wrote books, about artists and intellectuals from Azerbaijani history from the 17th through to the 20th centuries.
