BP TO SUBMIT NEW PLAN OF ACTIONS ON BTC PIPELINE

BP has to submit a plan of additional security measures along the 17-km stretch of Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline in Borjomi gorge to the Government of Georgia, the country’s Ministry of Environment and Conservation of Natural Resources said. The document was discussed and approved at the Council of National Security.

In accordance with the decision made by Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources Conservation and Council of National Security of Georgia, the pipe laying was suspended on July 20 in the Borjomi gorge because of some omissions made by BP. After BP agreed to present a new plan of actions to the government of Georgia, construction works were resumed.
