Bulgarian Foreign Minister: Global security and stability must be maintained

Baku, March 14, AZERTAC
“Today, our world is experiencing geopolitical upheavals. There are many military conflicts globally, the highest number since World War II. The pace of change in the world is accelerating, social inequality is deepening, and discrimination is occurring at the political level,” said Bulgarian Foreign Minister Georg Georgiev during the 5th panel session titled “Middle Powers in the New World Order” at the 12th Global Baku Forum.
The Bulgarian Foreign Minister described ongoing events as a threat to global order, peace, and prosperity.
"Global security and stability must be maintained. Bulgaria always advocates for strengthening multilateral cooperation. We are taking steps in line with the UN Charter. Bulgaria has always supported common values and principles. We must also establish lasting peace in Ukraine."
Noting that the European Union plays a crucial role in energy diversification, Georg Georgiev emphasized: "Bulgaria will continue to demonstrate its sustainable efforts. We must ensure that our energy supply is sustainable and does not harm the natural environment."
