Canada expresses gratitude to Azerbaijan for evacuating its citizens from Iran

Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov held a telephone conversation with his Canadian counterpart, Anita Anand, on June 19.
The conversation focused on the current regional security situation stemming from the Israel-Iran escalation. The Canadian Foreign Minister expressed her gratitude to Azerbaijan for facilitating the evacuation of Canadian citizens from Iran.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov congratulated Minister Anand on her appointment and wished her success in her new role.
The ministers also exchanged views on other bilateral and regional issues of mutual concern.
