Canadian senator hails development of Canada-Azerbaijan relations

Baku, May 25 (AZERTAC). Canadian senator Pana Merchant, who attends the Annual Conference of Parliamentary Network on the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, has hailed development of the Canada-Azerbaijan relations.

Noting the increasing political prestige of Azerbaijan in the world, Merchant praised the ongoing projects in the country.

“Baku impressed me. I witnessed dramatic changes in Azerbaijan. In a short period, Azerbaijan has gained good experience in using hydrocarbon resources in development of economy, in creation of new job places and reduction of poverty in the country. We are very interested in Azerbaijan`s experience,” the senator said.

Merchant expressed confidence Azerbaijan`s successes will be long-lasting.
