CHAIRMAN OF AZERBAIJAN`S STATE CUSTOMS COMMITTEE MEETS WB DELEGATION

Baku, March 3 (AZERTAC). Chairman of Azerbaijan`s State Customs Committee, Customs service lieutenant-general Aydin Aliyev met WB delegation headed by Tom Doyle, key specialist of the poverty reduction and economy management international trade department.

Mr. Aliyev told of rapid development and achievements in the country`s customs service. He stressed the significance of the State program for development of the customs system in Azerbaijan, in 2007-2011, signed by President Ilham Aliyev. He underlined that a new Customs Code, which is to be soon applied in Azerbaijan due to the EU specialists will open wide opportunities to control the trade area and provide a security.

Mr. Doyle praised the works done to improve the customs service of the country.

The sides shared views on other issues of mutual interest.
