China`s national holiday marked in Azerbaijan
Ambassador Hong Jiuyin spoke of the development of China, adding his country has achieved great progress in economy and culture.
He said Azerbaijan and China were reliable partners and friends, and that China praises Azerbaijan`s beneficial cooperation and friendship.
The diplomat expressed his confidence the relations between the two states will be further developed.
On behalf of Azerbaijani government, Minister of Transport Ziya Mammadov congratulated the participants and wished the Chinese people peace and tranquillity.
The Minister said China was one of the first countries to recognize Azerbaijan`s independence and highlighted steadily developing bilateral cooperation in various fields.
According to the Minister, the reciprocal visits and the documents signed have greatly contributed to further deepening relations between the two countries.
Azerbaijan and China permanently support each other on international organizations. The Minister thanked China for support in settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict within the principles and norms of international law.
An exhibition reflecting Chinese culture has been arranged during the reception.
The event was attended by officials of state and government, MPs, public representatives.
