Club de Madrid, International Centre of Nizami Ganjavi sign cooperation protocol
Baku, May 8 (AZERTAC). The Club de Madrid and the International Centre of Nizami Ganjavi have signed a protocol on cooperation.
Speaking to a press conference following the First South Caucasus Forum in Baku, Nazim Ibrahimov, head of the State Committee for Work with Diaspora, said: “The Azerbaijani government will provide support for such events. The first South Caucasus Forum has successfully completed its work."
According to him, the Forum was of great importance in terms of Azerbaijan's worldwide recognition.
Ibrahimov said the forum discussed a wide range of issues, including dialogue of civilizations and cultures, as well as tolerance. "Azerbaijan is demonstrating tolerance to the world and therefore Baku was not chosen by chance. Activities to be undertaken in the future will contribute to the transformation of Baku into a centre of culture and dialogue."
Former Dutch Prime Minister and the President of the Club de Madrid Wim Kok said the First South Caucasus Forum discussed issues related to religious and cultural differences.
