CO-CHAIRS OF AZERBAIJAN-MOSCOW INTER-GOVERNMENTAL COMMISSION DISCUSSED CO-OP PROSPECTS

Vice-premier of Azerbaijan Republic, co-chair of the Azerbaijan-Moscow inter-governmental Commission Abbas Abbasov met Yuri Luzhkov, Mayor of Moscow, co-chair of the Commission form the Moscow side, on 5 July.

In the course of meeting, attended by members of the Moscow Government, discussed were issues of prospects of cooperation. In particular, Moscow is keen in supply of production of the Sumgait chemical plants.

Also was touched the question of some discords in the field of customs tariffs demanding their solution. Achieved was primary agreement with the Azerbaijan partners on delivery from Moscow of ozone plants for purification of sewerages and effluent disposal lines, autonomous wind-power devices for application at the offshore platforms, as well as small water-desalinating plants.

Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Russia Ramiz Rzayev attended the meeting.
