Ennio Morricone to perform in Baku
Baku, January 24 (AZERTAC). World-renowned Italian composer and musician Ennio Morricone will give a concert at the Heydar Aliyev Palace in Baku Saturday.
Organized by the "Buta" Center of Arts, the concert is organized by Azerbaijan's Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Italy’s embassy in Baku, “Fireland Vineyards” and “Nar Mobile” companies.
Morricone will conduct the Azerbaijan State Symphony Orchestra after Uzeyir Hajibeyli. The orchestra will be accompanied by the State Choir Capella. More than 200 musicians are involved in the grandiose concert.
Morricone has written music for more than 500 motion pictures and television series, as well as contemporary classical works. His career includes a wide range of composition genres, making him one of the world`s most versatile, prolific and influential film composers of all time. His music has been used in over sixty award-winning films.
A long artistic career of Morricone includes a wide range of composition genres, from absolute music, which he has always produced, to applied music, working as orchestrator as well as conductor in the recording field, and then as a composer for theatre, radio and cinema.
