Georgian President sees peace as key to regional prosperity

Tbilisi, May 23, AZERTAC

Peace and stability in the South Caucasus are essential for unlocking new opportunities and ensuring prosperity for all three countries in the region, Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili said in an interview with Imedi TV.

He emphasized the Georgian government’s commitment to supporting the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, affirming that Georgia will continue to contribute constructively to this process.

“Some time ago, tensions arose in our region between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Georgia remains an active advocate for a peaceful resolution. I commend the efforts made by both governments to move toward lasting peace,” President Kavelashvili stated.
