Solemn opening ceremony of German-Turkish Chamber of Commerce & Industry with the participation of Federal Chancellor of Germany Gerhard Schroeder and Prime-Minister of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan was opened in Cologne, on April 27, AzerTAj correspondent reports from Berlin.

The heads of governments wished success to the Chamber’s activity, expressed confidence that it would make worthy contribution in further expansion of economic relations, establishment of mutual cooperation between entrepreneurs and enterprises of small and medium business, as well as admission of Turkey to the European Union.

After ceremony, a meeting was held between Gerhard Schroeder and Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Development of bilateral relations, Cyprus problem and admission of Turkey to the EU was in the focus of debates.
