Greek ambassador ends diplomatic mission in Azerbaijan
Baku, July 18 (AZERTAC). Greek ambassador to Azerbaijan Ioannis Metaxas has ended his diplomatic mission in the country.
An official reception on the occasion brought together representatives of diplomatic corps accredited in Azerbaijan.
Addressing the event, Czech ambassador Radek Matula hailed the diplomatic activity of his Greek counterpart. He said Ioannis Metaxas had worked in Brussels, Sofia, Marseille and Brazil, adding “he will start his diplomatic mission in Doha, the capital of Qatar, next month”.
The Czech ambassador hailed his Greek counterpart`s services in strengthening diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Greece.
Ioannis Metaxas said the main achievement during his diplomatic mission is Azerbaijan was a decision to transport Azeri gas to Greece via TAP.
