GUAM’S ANNIVERSARY MARKED IN TURKMENISTAN
Embassies of Azerbaijan, Ukraine and Georgia in Turkmenistan on 5 December have arranged a reception to mark the 10th anniversary of the Organization for Democracy and Economic Development, GUAM, in Ashgabad.
Presiding at the reception was ambassador of Azerbaijan Elkhan Huseynov who spoke of goals and duties of the Organization, the results of summit of the heads of state of member countries in October current year in Vilnius, the Organization’s cooperation with USA, Japan, Poland, Lithuania and other countries in format “GUAM+”, as well as the negative impact of the conflicts existing in the territory of member countries, on economic development of region.
At the reception, attending were heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Turkmenistan, members of creative organizations of the host country, Azerbaijanis living here, the businessmen from Azerbaijan, Ukraine and Georgia, working in Turkmenistan.
