INTERNATIONAL ANTI-CORRUPTION CONFERENCE HELD IN BAKU
The international conference aimed at exchanging experience in fighting against corruption was held Tuesday at the Europe hotel in Baku. Attendees of the conference included heads of prosecution authorities of China, Indonesia, Great Britain, Ukraine and Uganda; heads of anticorruption agencies of Pakistan and India; as well as anti-corruption experts from Japan, Italy, Romania and Argentina. and representatives from UN, Council of Europe, OSCE, World Bank and USAID.
Azerbaijan was represented by members of the Anti-Corruption Commission, representatives of ministries of justice and internal affairs, MPs, judges and local non-governmental organizations.
Speaking at the event, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Justice, Chairman of Judicial-Legal Council and vice-president of International Association of Anti-Corruption Authorities (“IAACA”) Fikrat Mammadov stressed the importance of international cooperation in combating corruption.
Azerbaijani representatives spoke of work done to fight against corruption in Azerbaijan.
Indonesian general prosecutor, Ukrainian deputy general prosecutor as well as representatives of China, Great Britain and India shared with their countries` experience in combating corruption.
