Baku, January 16, AZERTAC
Italy's average annual inflation rate was 1.5% in 2025, up from 1.0% in 2024, ANSA repported citing the Istat.
The national statistics agency said the rise was driven by accelerations in price rises for services related to transport (up from +0.9% to +2.6%), unprocessed food (from +1.1% to +2.3%) and miscellaneous services (from +2.0% to +2.2%).
Istat also released the final inflation figures for December, with the annual rate coming in at 1.2%, up from 1.1% in November, and the consumer-price index rising 0.2% in month-on-month terms.
