JAVAD KHAN’S DESCENDANT VISITS ALLEY OF HONORS
Famous military leader Javad khan’s great-grandson, Rza Javadkhani and her daughter Leyla khanum, who live in Washington, visited the Alley of Honors on September 10.
Here, they were welcomed by Nazim Ibrahimov, Chairman of the State Committee for Azerbaijanis Living Abroad and other officials.
Rza Javadkhani paid tribute to the nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev, and the eminent ophtolmologist Zarifa Aliyeva and laid flowers at their tombs.
Rza Javadkhani has also laid flowers at the tomb of famous leader of Iranian Revolution, publicist Sayid Jafar Pishavari.

In his interview to AzerTAj reporter, Mr. Javadkhani said that his visit aimed to restore relations with native Azerbaijan, to see sisters and brothers and the tomb of great-grandfather.
“Today, Americans have George Washington, the French have Charle de Golle, and we have Heydar Aliyev. Heydar Aliyev had irreplaceable services in building and development of the independent Azerbaijan, and uniting the world Azerbaijanis”, said Javadkhani.
Mr. Javadkhani expressed his gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for erecting the monument to his grandfather Javad khan in Ganja, and making a film about him.
Mr. Javadkhani will also visit Ganja and Lankaran regions.
