Libyan newspaper Al-Liva publishes article on Azerbaijani national leader Heydar Aliyev
Baku, May 7 (AZERTAC). Libyan newspaper Al-Liva” has published an article on the eve of Azerbaijani national leader Heydar Aliyev`s 90 anniversary.
Called “Aliyev…Man of eras”, the article was written after Azerbaijan`s Embassy in Tripoli hosted several meetings with Libyan journalists to increase their awareness of the national leader`s life and activities.
The article highlights difficulties faced by Azerbaijan under the totalitarian Soviet regime. The newspaper writes that as Heydar Aliyev came to the leadership in 1969 Azerbaijan became one of the advanced republics of the Soviet Union. “The country experienced progress and rapid development in all fields during Heydar Aliyev`s leadership.”
The article also underlines national leader Heydar Aliyev`s role in forming national consciousness and enlightening the people.
The author praises the national leader`s endeavors for training of specialists and education of youth abroad.
The newspaper says national leader Heydar Aliyev`s returning to power by the insistent demand of the people helped Azerbaijan strengthen its statehood, independence, prevented civil war and restored social, political and economic stability.
