London hosts discussions on artificial intelligence between Azerbaijani and British professionals

A conference titled “AI and Beyond: Transforming Healthcare, Engineering, and Science through British-Azerbaijani Collaboration,” organized by the Association of Azerbaijani British Professionals (AAPB) with the support of the Fund for Support to Azerbaijani Diaspora, was held in London, the United Kingdom.
Addressing the conference, Ilhama Jafarli, Founder and CEO of AAPB, noted that artificial intelligence technologies have contributed significantly to the development of innovative approaches in healthcare, engineering, and scientific research. She described the event as an important platform for expanding scientific and professional cooperation between Azerbaijan and the UK.
Other speakers included David Wootton, former Lord Mayor of the City of London; Malahat Sultanova, Vice-Rector of Azerbaijan Medical University; and Gunel Salimova, Counselor at the Azerbaijani Embassy in the UK.
The event continued with panel discussions featuring specialists from leading British and European universities, research centers, and technology companies. The discussions focused on the impact of AI on diagnostic and treatment processes in healthcare, data-driven innovations in engineering and science, as well as future prospects for digital technologies.
The conference also saw the signing of memorandums of understanding on cooperation between AAPB and the Association of Azerbaijani Medical Workers in Germany (AMD), as well as the Universal Hospital, aimed at enhancing international cooperation in healthcare and scientific research.
