LONG-TERM TRAINING COURSES FOR CANDIDATES FOR THE JUDGE UNDERWAY
According to the curriculum of the semi-annual courses arranged by Judicial-Legal Council for preparation of candidates in the judge to work in judicial posts, with support of USA embassy in Baku, OSCE and the American Association of Lawyers, a week-long seminar was organized for candidates, Judicial-Legal Council of Azerbaijan said.
According to the curriculum, special attention at the seminar will be given to questions of drawing up of decisions, management of judicial proceedings, ethical behavior of judges, maintenance of principle of matter of law, to familiarize candidates with skills of refereeing the dramatized litigations.
At the Training Center of Justice Ministry, authoritative international experts, including specialists with great experience, attended the opening of seminar.
Speaking at the event, chairman of the Election Committee of judges, chairman of Baku Appeal Court Iman Nagiev noted the complex measures on increase of efficiency of justice carried out in the country, emphasizing that special attention is given to training of candidates in the judge. He expressed to the embassy of the USA in Azerbaijan, to the Baku Office of OSCE and the American Association of Lawyers gratitude for all-round help.
The head of the OSCE Office in Baku Hose Luis Herrero, in his remarks noted the progressive essence of judicial-legal reform carried out in Azerbaijan, emphasized value of training courses for candidates for the judge.
