Madrid hosts conference titled “Azerbaijan: traditions and innovations between Europe and Asia”
Baku, May 18 (AZERTAC). A conference titled “Azerbaijan: traditions and innovations between Europe and Asia” dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Azerbaijan`s national leader Heydar Aliyev has been held in Beatriz Galindo Institute of Madrid in Spain. The event was organized by Azerbaijan`s Embassy in the country.
The event brought together Spanish government officials, representatives of diplomatic corps accredited in the country and leading companies.
Opening the event, ambassador Altay Afandiyev spoke of the Azerbaijan-Spain relations and prospects for development of the bilateral ties.
Ambassador on Special Mission for South Caucasus, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Maria Victoria Scola Pliego and Teresa Gutierrez Del Alamo, Director of Programmes of the Casa Asia Centre-Madrid highlighted the Azerbaijan-Spain cooperation.
The Spain professors provided an insight into Azerbaijan`s history, economy, culture and its achievements.
The “DIPLOMACIA-SigloXXI” magazine dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the national leader was presented to the event participants.
