MINISTER FOR EMERGENCIES MEETS WITH BELARUS AMBASSADOR
Minister congratulated ambassador on his appointment and wished him every success in his activities towards development of bilateral Belarus-Azerbaijan relations.
Ambassador Nikolay Pastkevich said there is enormous potential for the development of Belarus-Azerbaijan relationship. According to him, he will do his best to strengthen cooperation with Azerbaijan during his tenure.
Mr. Pastkevich said implementation of joint projects will be fruitful for both sides.
Ambassador was curious about the activity of the Ministry for Emergencies and highlighted the importance of expanding cooperation with respective bodies of both countries.
K. Heydarov said there are good prospects for deepening bilateral relations and updated Ambassador on the activity of the Ministry for Emergencies.
He told of the Ministry’s responsibilities and said important steps had been taken to ensure rapid natural and man-caused disaster response. Minister noted that international experience is used in forming the Ministry with a special emphasis put on the application of modern technologies.
K. Heydarov informed the Ambassador of the Ministry’s relations with international and regional organizations and respective bodies of various countries.
The meeting also focused on a number of other issues of mutual concern.
