MM DELEGATION ATTENDS COE’S TWO-DAY SEMINAR ON MASS MEDIA IN STRASBOURG

The delegation of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan comprised of Akif Nasirov, head of Parliament’s press service, Samir Mammadov, deputy director of Parliament’s television center and Ulviyye Abdullayeva, chief department participated in the seminar on the mass media organized by the Council of Europe at its headquarters in Strasbourg on October 8-9. About 25 representatives from nine countries attended the event.

Participants of the two-day seminar heard 14 reports on the role of mass media during the pre-election campaign and freedoms of media and speech, activities of public televisions and other issues.
