Model Highway Initiative project discussed in Baku
Baku, February 28 (AZERTAC). The second meeting of the working group on the Model Highway Initiative project has been held in Baku.
The meeting discussed the progress achieved by the member states to create modern auxiliary road infrastructure as well as the draft intergovernmental agreement on Model Highway Initiative between Azerbaijan, Turkey and Georgia.
The role of international organizations, financial institutions and other potential partners in the realization of Model Highway Initiative, upcoming steps to realize the Model Highway Initiative in the Central Asia and South Caucasus were also discussed at the meeting.
The aim of the project is to develop international road carriage on the Great Silk Road.
