MONUMENT TO TURKISH SOLDIER-SAVIOR IN GOYCHAY TO BE VISITED
A commemoration ceremony for the Turkish soldiers died for liberation of Azerbaijan in 1918 will take place on September 12 at the monument to the Turkish Soldier-Savior mounted in the town of Goychay, spokesman to the Turkish Embassy in Baku told AZERTAC .
According to the program of the event, its participants - including the embassy’s officials, members of the Milli Majlis and representatives of the Goychay public - will also visit here the monument to the national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev, the monument to Genocide in Goychay and the local alley of martyrs.
The ceremony will be followed by a conference dedicated to liberation of Baku by the Turkish Caucasian-Islamic Army, which extended a brotherly hand to Azerbaijan in September 1918.
Organizers of the event are Turkish Embassy in Baku and the Association of Turkish Universities Alumni.
