National leader Heydar Aliyev`s 90th anniversary marked in Belgrade
Baku, May 11 (AZERTAC). The Embassy of Azerbaijan in Belgrade has organized an event to mark the 90th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev.
The event was attended by Serbian officials, parliamentarians, members of the Muslim community, representatives of Azerbaijan Culture Center, Serbia-Azerbaijan Friendship Society and Serbia-Azerbaijan Chamber of Trade and Economy, as well as journalists.
The event participants laid a wreath and flowers at a monument to national leader Heydar Aliyev in Tashmaydan Park.
The participants saw at the Embassy a photo exhibition featuring Heydar Aliyev`s lifetime and activity.
Azerbaijani ambassador Eldar Hasanov said a series of events were held in Serbia to mark national leader Heydar Aliyev`s anniversary. The diplomat spoke of Heydar Aliyev`s contributions to strengthening of the Azerbaijani statehood, reforms carried out under his leadership to build legal and democratic state. The ambassador pointed out Heydar Aliyev`s political course was successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev.
The event participants also saw a documentary on the activity of national leader Heydar Aliyev.
