NATO DELEGATION HOLDS MEETING AT EUROATLANTIC CENTER, BAKU
The delegation of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Committee’s Civil Dimension Sub-Committee on Democratic Governance, headed by Tchetin Kazak held a meeting at the Euro-Atlantic Center on September 21.
First, the visitors were briefed on activities, aim and challenges of the center.
Tchetin Kazak appreciated Azerbaijan’s efforts towards integration into Europe.
He said their visit aims to study the present condition of the country, democratic reforms conducted, as well as to discuss Azerbaijan-NATO ties. He went on to say that they would develop a report on the condition they studied in Azerbaijan.
Participants of the meeting unanimously pointed out that delay of settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict impedes on the country’s integration into Euro-Atlantic space. They stressed NATO should give its contribution to prompt and fair settlement of the conflict.
