NATO REPRESENTATIVES VISIT AZERBAIJAN
NATO representatives Guy Gerbeau and Lorenz Meyer-Minnemann paid a visit to Azerbaijan to assess the first stage of Azerbaijan-NATO cooperation within the Alliance’s Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP).
The visit will end on April 25, and the officials of the North Atlantic Alliance will give a final assessment to the first stage of cooperation, Khazar Ibrahim, Press Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan said.
IPAP was presented to NATO leadership by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in 2004. Under the Azerbaijani President’s Order, the measures envisioned in the Plan have been carrying out since August, 2005.
According to the Plan more than thousand Azerbaijani servicemen have been participating in the NATO events.
