NO BREACH OF PEACE ALLOWED DURING OPPOSITION RALLY
According to the information received to AzerTAj from the Baku Main Police Board, on 19 November 2005, supporters of political bloc Azadlig (Freedom) uniting Musavat, Popular Front of Azerbaijan and Democratic parties marched from metro station “20 January” along the Hasan bey Zardabi street to the square in front of the building of the Azerbaijan State Film Fund (former movie theater Gelebe) to hold a rally here sanctioned by the Baku authorities.
The rally lasted between 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. gathered some 4000 (four thousand) members and supporters of both the abovementioned and Liberal, People’s, National Independence and National Democrats parties as well as the bloc Yeni Fikir and National Unity Movement.
No breach of peace was allowed during the rally, the Baku Main Police Board said.
