OIC SECRETARY GENERAL CONDEMNS SO-CALLED “PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS” IN NAGORNO-KARABAKH
Secretary General of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu has released a statement condemning the so-called “presidential elections” in the occupied Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan.
In his statement, Mr. Ihsanoglu said “holding of the ‘presidential elections’ by Armenia in Azerbaijan`s occupied Nagorno-Karabakh territory is a gross violation of international legal norms and principles”.
The OIC has always been supporting Azerbaijan`s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
In its documents, including the Islamabad Declaration adopted at the 34th Session of the Islamic Conference of Foreign Ministers, the Organization of the Islamic Conference has repeatedly condemned the occupation of Azerbaijani lands by Armenia and demanded their complete and unconditional liberation.
