OMBUDSWOMAN HOLDS PUBLIC HEARINGS IN JALILABAD
Commissioner for Human Rights of the Azerbaijan Republic Elmira Suleymanova continues a series of public hearings in provinces of the republic on the theme “The Place and Significance of the National Action Plan in Building Democratic and Rule-of-law State".
Jalilabad has become the seventh following Guba, Sabirabad, Shamakha, Shaki, Ganja and Barda to host the event, which was attended by representatives of local governments, municipalities, courts, law enforcement bodies, election commissions, NGOs and mass media from Bilasuvar, Masally, Lankaran, Lerik and Yardymly provinces of Azerbaijan.
The Ombudswoman spoke of the essence of the public hearings, stressing the importance of the National Action Plan for more ensuring effective and reliable protection of the basic human rights and freedoms.
