Paintings dedicated to Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus exhibited in Baku

On December 18, an exhibition was launched at the Union of Artists of Azerbaijan, jointly organized by the Representative of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in Azerbaijan, the Yasamal District Organization of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), and the International Gallery.
The exhibition features works dedicated to Azerbaijan and Northern Cyprus by artists of various age groups.
Speaking at the event, Ufuk Turganer, Representative of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in Azerbaijan, provided information about relations between the two countries. He noted that there is a very strong bond of affection between Northern Cyprus and Azerbaijan. “This bond is a deep and unshakable brotherhood rooted in ancient history. We wanted to take a small but meaningful step to further strengthen this brotherhood and make these relations even stronger. The works exhibited today are truly valuable,” Turganer added.
He emphasized that both professional and amateur Azerbaijani artists took part in the exhibition with works reflecting the nature, culture, and civilization of the two countries.
Azerbaijani MP Javanshir Feyziyev noted that, like other cultural figures, artists pay special attention to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, regularly visiting the country and creating works there. According to him, these works are an artistic reflection of Azerbaijani artists’ perceptions of Northern Cyprus. He stressed that the project contributes not only to strengthening cultural ties between the two countries, but also to promoting the tourism potential of Northern Cyprus.
At the next stage, the exhibition is planned to be held in Northern Cyprus.
Elnara Mustafayeva, Deputy Chairman of the Yasamal District Organization of the YAP, emphasized that fraternal ties represent a high manifestation of spiritual values. According to her, such exhibitions strengthen inter-country ties and contribute to the development of relations between Azerbaijan and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
Chairman of the Union of Artists of Azerbaijan, People’s Artist Farhad Khalilov, and other speakers also shared their views on the exhibition.
Then, the guests familiarized themselves closely with the exhibited works.
