Pakistan`s Diplomatic Insight publishes article “Heydar Aliyev-Azerbaijan`s legend and hope lamp”
Baku, May 20 (AZERTAC). Pakistan`s Diplomatic Insight magazine has published an article titled “Heydar Aliyev-Azerbaijan`s legend and hope lamp” featuring the life and activity of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people.
Comparing Heydar Aliyev with the Turkish leader Mustafa Kama Ataturk and Founder of Pakistan Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the author writes that Azerbaijan`s national leader is a symbol of state.
The article says national leader Heydar Aliyev is a founder of modern and independent Azerbaijan, with rich culture and ancient history.
The author characterizes Heydar Aliyev as a savior and hope lamp of the Azerbaijani people in its hard times. It highlights complicated political, economic and social problems of Azerbaijan, political inexperience of top officials, weakness of state authorities, as well as huge threats to sovereignty of the country because of Armenia`s growing military aggression during the first years of the independence after the collapse of the Soviet Union.
The article says today all fields in Azerbaijan enjoy dynamic development thanks to the strategy and political line determined by national leader Heydar Aliyev and being successfully developed by President Ilham Aliyev.
“Azerbaijan`s securing a seat in the UN Security Council is a vivid evidence to this and great success of the foreign policy”.
The author also touches upon Heydar Aliyev`s activities during the Soviet times: “Being elected at the Plenum of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Azerbaijan in July 1969 as the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev became the head of the republic. In December 1982, Heydar Aliyev was elected a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Soviet Union’s Communist Party, appointed to the post of the First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the USSR and became one of the leaders of the USSR. During twenty years, Heydar Aliyev had been a deputy to the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, and for five years was Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR.”
The author underlines that national leader Heydar Aliyev, who returned to power by the insistent demand of the people, prevented the civil war, reached the ceasefire agreement, eliminated illegal armed formations, strengthened activities of the state bodies, and as a result, developed the social and economic life of the country.
The author, Mahammad Asif Nur describes Azerbaijan as “a tiger of the Caucasus” for its dynamic development.
The article also focuses on President Ilham Aliyev`s speech at the event marking the 90th anniversary of the National Leader: “Heydar Aliyev is alive. He lives in the hearts of Azerbaijanis. As long as Azerbaijan exists, Heydar Aliyev will live. We will further continue Great Leader`s work, move on his path, strengthen Azerbaijan and protect our independence,” President Aliyev said.
