Pakistan’s Prime Minister kicks off two-day official visit to Turkmenistan

Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has begun a two-day official visit to Turkmenistan. Shortly after his arrival in Ashgabat, the Prime Minister held a meeting with President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to discuss matters of mutual interest.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on bilateral cooperation, regional connectivity, and partnership in the energy, trade, and transport sectors.
The Pakistan Prime Minister is scheduled to take part in major international events hosted in Ashgabat, including the opening of the International Year of Peace and Trust 2025, the International Day of Neutrality, and the celebrations marking the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif will also hold bilateral meetings with other world leaders attending the forum. The high-level gathering in Ashgabat is expected to bring together global and regional leaders, diplomats, and policymakers.
