Palestinian FM visits Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy

Baku, June 11 (AZERTAC). Palestinian Foreign Minister Riad Malki has visited the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy (ADA).

He met ADA rector Hafiz Pashayev and they discussed ways of developing the bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Palestine with an emphasis on education.

Pashayev said ADA was home to students from 22 foreign countries, adding the Academy had the International Scholarship Program.

He expressed hope that students from Palestine would benefit from ADA`s International Scholarship Program.

The Palestinian FM stressed the importance of carrying out student and teacher exchange. He also noted the necessity of organizing reciprocal culture days with the aim of bringing the two nations closer to each other.

Malki praised development processes in Azerbaijan, adding the country`s capital, Baku, has changed since his last visit.

The Palestinian FM said: “The opening of a new education block of the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy is a vivid evidence of this development.”
