PREMIER AZERBAIJAN RECEIVES MINISTER OF ECOLOGY AND FORESTRY OF TURKEY
Warmly greeting the visitor, Prime Minister Arthur Rasizade has told that the government of Azerbaijan pays special attention to strengthening and expansion of all-round connections with the friendly and brotherly Turkish Republic being our strategic partner.
Then, at the meeting the environmental problems representing for our countries great value in the globalized world, prospects of cooperation have been discussed in the field of preservation of the environment and hydrometeorology. It has been marked that Turkey has wide experience in this sphere and such environmental problems as management of especially protected natural territories, wood strips, waste products, the estimation of influence of climatic changes, protection of biological and water resources have already found the decision in the brotherly country. Therefore, expansion of links of similar structure created in Azerbaijan with Turkish colleagues in this direction and regular carrying out of exchange of experience would bring great benefit. Having noted importance of work of ecological enlightenment in the field of preservation of the environment, the parties have expressed confidence that signing during visit of the Cooperation agreement between the Ministry of ecology and natural resources of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of environment and forestry of Turkey from the point of view of strengthening of links would have special value.
At the meeting, exchange of opinions on a number of other questions of mutual interest has taken place.
