PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV RECEIVES CHAIRMAN OF THE EAST COMMITTEE OF GERMAN BUSINESS
The President described the Azerbaijan-Germany relationship as rapidly developing in both economic and political spheres.
Recalling his last year’s visit to Germany, President Ilham Aliyev said it was an evidence of existence of the fruitful dialogue and enhancing business cooperation between the two countries.
The Head of State noted the visit of such a large delegation to Azerbaijan is an indication of the great mutual interest in economic cooperation. Pointing to the Azerbaijan’s rapidly growing economy, the President stressed that there is very favorable investment environment in the country. He expressed hope for further strengthening of German company’s ties with Azerbaijan.
Mr. Klaus Mangold said his delegation includes very respectable businessmen, who, according to him, have brought a number of important projects with them. He added thee represent German companies with a €300 billion trade turnover.
Mr. Klaus congratulated the Azerbaijani leader on the Nov 6 parliamentary elections, and expressed confidence that despite some controversy, Azerbaijan would handle the problems in a short period of time. He asked the President to take the visit as a display of their great confidence.
The guest further said they witnessed the Azerbaijan’s being on the path of development form the very fist moments of the visit, and described this fact as very positive factor for cooperation.
Touching upon the global energy projects being implementing in Azerbaijan, Klaus Mangold valued the realization of that of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan as a factor contributing to the country’s integration into Europe and cultural exchange. He said that all these factors give confidence in further enhancing Azerbaijan’s cooperation with European countries including Germany.
